We all know that over the last two years the Spanish property marked has suffered.  Why?  Property prices for the previous three years rose at approximately 30% per annum, obviously this could not be maintained.

Prices have dropped by around 30%, this we feel has now bottomed out and many vendors have dropped their prices to a reasonable price and are somewhat reluctant to go down further.

Another reason for the drop in prices is the emergence of other markets at much cheaper prices, places like Bulgaria, Morocco, Cap Verdi and several others.  Beware first check out whether there is a resale market for when you wish to move the property on.

Spain has a well tried and tested track record over the long term with good infrastructure and a good rental market, as well as a good resale market.  We know that the exchange rate for the UK is not good but remember prices have come down more than the 15% the exchange has gone down.

Many developers have key ready property and need to move these on to release cash to enable them to move their business forward.
